This is a Claude limitation, not LocalKeep busywork: desktop Claude only loads tools listed in claude_desktop_config.json. Copy → paste → quit Claude once.

  1. Keep this Hub running. On macOS, open Finder → Go → Go to Folder… (⇧⌘G), paste ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/, then open claude_desktop_config.json. (Spotlight won’t find it — Library is hidden.) If the file is missing, create it there as a plain-text JSON file.
  2. Add a server named localkeep. If the file already has mcpServers, paste only the localkeep entry into that object. The command path below is resolved for this install:
  1. If you don’t want to type “use LocalKeep” every prompt, Claude has a settings box called Personal preferences (Settings → Profile). Paste the LocalKeep instructions below into that box — Claude will then check your banks automatically when a question needs your timeline.
  1. Fully quit Claude (menu → Quit) and reopen. When a LocalKeep tool appears later, choose Always approve. Then come back here and refresh — the status above should say You’re connected.
