Code folder Where your repositories live. Each one is a project; a repository a task needs that is not here is cloned into it. Every worker works in its own folder in .chief inside it, with a git worktree of each repository it changes, so your own checkouts are never touched.

Without it, only the workers' instructions do (no force pushes, no pushing to main, nothing public without your approval). A worker's header can override this.

Auto picks a model for each turn and takes no thinking effort: choose a model where you want to set one. Thinking effort applies when the model supports it; otherwise the model's default. Change a session's effort and context window in its header.

Delegate emoji React with it to any Slack message, yours or someone else's, to hand it to your chief of staff. Empty turns it off.
