Prusty Community License, Version 1.0
Copyright (c) 2026 Victor Matos and the Prusty contributors

This license governs use of the accompanying software, source code, tooling,
assets, and documentation (collectively, the "Software"). By using the
Software you agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. Definitions
1.1 "Software" means the Prusty engine, runtime, compiler, standard
library, CLI, official assets (including logos and pixel art), and
accompanying documentation, in source or binary form.
1.2 "Work" means any game, application, artwork, or other output that a
user creates using the Software but that does not itself contain a
substantial portion of the Software's source code.
1.3 "Contributor" means any person or entity that submits changes to the
       Software's official repository.
1.4 "You" means the individual or legal entity exercising rights under
       this license.

2. Grant, use of the Software
Subject to Sections 3 to 7, You are granted a worldwide, royalty-free,
non-exclusive, revocable license to use, copy, modify, and redistribute
the Software for personal, educational, research, and commercial purposes.

3. Grant, Works made with Prusty
Works You create using the Software are Yours. This license imposes no
claim of ownership, no royalty, and no distribution restriction on Your
Works. You are free to sell, license, or give away Your Works under any
terms You choose. Attribution to Prusty in Works is appreciated but not
   required.

4. Attribution and integrity of the Software
If You redistribute the Software, in source or binary form, modified or
   unmodified, You must:
4.1 Retain this license, the copyright notice, and any NOTICE file
       shipped with the Software.
4.2 Preserve the name "Prusty" and the official pixel-art logo as
identifiers of the upstream project. You may not rebrand a fork or
modified distribution in a way that removes or obscures the origin.
You may of course distribute a fork under a different name, provided
the fork clearly states it is a fork of Prusty and links to the
       upstream repository.
4.3 Clearly mark modified versions as modified, with Your name and a
description of the changes, so users can tell them apart from the
       upstream Software.

5. Contribution terms
Unless You state otherwise in writing at the time of contribution, any
contribution You intentionally submit for inclusion in the Software is
licensed under the same terms as this license, and You grant the Prusty
maintainers a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to
use, modify, sublicense, and distribute Your contribution as part of the
   Software.

6. Restrictions
6.1 You may not use the name "Prusty", the pixel-art logo, or any
confusingly similar mark to endorse or promote products or services
derived from the Software without prior written permission of the
maintainers. This does not restrict factual statements such as
       "built with Prusty".
6.2 You may not use the Software to build, train, or fine-tune machine
learning models whose primary purpose is to reproduce the Software
       or to circumvent this license.
6.3 You may not remove or alter any license, copyright, or attribution
       notice contained in the Software.

7. No warranty, no liability
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND
NON-INFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS, COPYRIGHT HOLDERS, OR
CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY,
WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT
OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN
   THE SOFTWARE.

8. Termination
Your rights under this license terminate automatically if You breach any
term. Upon termination You must cease all use and distribution of the
   Software. Sections 3, 5, 7, and 8 survive termination.

9. Governing terms
If any provision of this license is held unenforceable, the remaining
provisions remain in effect. This license is the entire agreement
between You and the maintainers regarding the Software.
