# pyLogDigitizer

**pyLogDigitizer** is a modular Python toolkit (with optional Rust acceleration) for digitizing historical scanned raster petrophysical well logs into depth-calibrated curves and standard LAS files.

## Planned Capabilities

- Automated scan deskewing, track/grid detection, and depth/scale calibration
- Conventional dynamic-programming curve tracing and backup-scale wraparound handling
- Local interactive web editor for anchor-assisted curve tracing and QC
- Optional machine-learning curve recognition and dataset-specific fine-tuning
- Direct LAS export and quantitative QC validation against reference logs

## Status

Pre-alpha package reservation (`0.0.1a0`). The full source release is under active local development.
