# Django DRF Extensions

Advanced operation extensions for Django REST Framework providing intelligent sync/async routing with a clean, unified API design.

## Installation

```bash
pip install django-drf-extensions
```

### Requirements

- Python 3.11+
- Django 4.0+
- Django REST Framework 3.14+
- Celery 5.2+
- Redis 4.3+

## Quick Setup

1. Add to your `INSTALLED_APPS`:

**Unique Field Validation**: The package correctly handles unique field validation on inherited models by:
1. Using the ViewSet's queryset model instead of the base model for database operations
2. Temporarily disabling unique validation during upsert operations to prevent validation errors
3. Manually handling uniqueness through the upsert logic

This ensures that upsert operations work correctly with model inheritance without triggering unique constraint violations.
