Streamform Terms of Use

Copyright (c) 2026 Kannan Kalidasan. All rights reserved.

1. What you may do
You may download, install, and run the Streamform binary ("the Software")
on any number of machines, for any purpose, including in production and
for commercial work, at no charge, without registering an account, for as
long as you like. You may copy the Software for that use, for example into
a container image or onto a build server.

2. Sharing unmodified copies
You may share exact, unmodified copies of the Software as published, with
these terms included, for example through a package mirror, a cache, or a
container image. Anyone who receives a copy receives it under these terms.

3. What you may not do
You may not modify the Software, sell it, rent it, or offer it to third
parties as a hosted service. You may not decompile, disassemble,
reverse-engineer, or otherwise attempt to derive its source code, except
to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this term. You
may not remove or alter any notice in it.

4. What is open source
The Software is closed source. The testing library streamform-test is open
source under the Apache License 2.0 in its own repository, and these terms
do not apply to it or to any other project published under an open-source
   licence.

5. Your data
The Software makes no network connection except when you run a command
whose purpose is to connect to a system you configure, such as `apply`
submitting to the Flink SQL Gateway named in your project. It sends your
records, SQL, event payloads, and message bodies nowhere else.

6. Versions
These terms apply to the version of the Software they ship with. A copy
you have already downloaded stays under the terms it came with; a later
version may carry revised terms, which you accept by using that version.

7. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or
implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
   particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any
damages arising from the use of or inability to use the Software, even if
advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Termination
These terms end automatically if you breach them. On termination you must
stop using the Software and delete your copies. Sections 7 and 8 survive.
