Fork provenance
===============
This distribution, kingfisher-vectorscan / kingfisher-vectorscan-sys, is maintained at:
    https://github.com/micksmix/kingfisher-vectorscan

It is a modified fork of Bradford Larsen's vectorscan-rs v0.0.6:
    https://github.com/bradlarsen/vectorscan-rs/releases/tag/v0.0.6
    upstream commit: 89787b925d613254603c4ebd196bcbd30da35307

The initial fork incorporates the vendored implementation from Kingfisher:
    https://github.com/mongodb/kingfisher
    snapshot commit: ee90795022fc3697676d8e02a3f436592dcf0f6d
    source path: vendor/vectorscan-rs

Changes include Vectorscan 5.4.13, database serialization/cache APIs,
Windows native-library linkage, musl build fixes, and renamed Rust packages.
Original copyright and license notices follow unchanged.

This product includes software from the `vectorscan-rs` Rust crate that
provides bindings to the `vectorscan` regular expression library found at

    https://github.com/bradlarsen/vectorscan-rs

This crate was originally written as part of Nosey Parker, developed by
Praetorian Security, Inc, and found at

    https://github.com/praetorian-inc/noseyparker

It was adapted from the `pyperscan` project, which uses Rust to expose
Hyperscan to Python. `pyperscan` is released under either the Apache 2.0 or MIT
license, and is found at

    https://github.com/vlaci/pyperscan

This product also contains a vendored copy of Vectorscan 5.4.13,
which is released under the BSD license and found at
