PROJECT KITE — LAUNCH BRIEF

Product: Kite Planner 3.0

Owner: Nadia Rahimi, Product Manager — Larkspur Labs Ltd

Date: 4 July 2025

Status: approved by the leadership team on 7 July 2025

1. Why

Kite Planner 2.x is used by 410 customers. The three most requested changes over the last year are a faster dashboard with saved views, single sign-on for enterprise customers, and scheduled report exports. Version 3.0 delivers all three and is the basis for the enterprise tier planned for 2026.

2. Goals

- Launch on 15 October 2025.
- 25% of existing customers using 3.0 within 90 days of launch.
- Beta net promoter score (NPS) of at least 40 across about 12 beta customers.
- Launch within the budget of £120,000 (video, paid media, event, beta incentives, design support, contingency).

5. Milestones

Milestone | Date
Kickoff | 8 July 2025
Design review (dashboard) | 14 August 2025
Beta start (about 12 customers) | 1 September 2025
Launch video delivered | 3 October 2025
Go / no-go | 8 October 2025
Launch | 15 October 2025

6. Risks

Single sign-on is the newest code in the release and has had the least customer exposure; the beta is sized to find problems there. The video and press release depend on an external studio and on the launch date holding.
