Teen driver charged following collision near Shakespeare: OPP
A 19-year-old driver is facing charges after a collision near Shakespeare, Ont. sent him and the driver of another car to hospital with injuries, provincial police say.
A 19-year-old Kirkfield man is facing charges after a collision near Shakespeare sent both him and another driver to hospital with injuries, provincial police said.
Police said the collision happened around 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Perth Road 107 and Line 37, north of Shakespeare.
Police said the man was driving east on Line 37 and collided with a woman driving north on Road 107.
The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries and police said he has since been upgraded to stable condition. He has been charged with failing to yield to traffic on a through highway.
The 36-year-old woman driving the northbound SUV was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
