A separate written commercial license is required for commercial or business use of the covered MLBricks software.

- Commercial licensing or sublicensing
- Commercial deployment of modified versions
- Incorporation into proprietary commercial software
- Incorporation into commercial machine-learning frameworks
- Any other commercial exploitation of the covered software

Being a student, researcher, individual developer, university member, or academic does not automatically make a particular use noncommercial.

If the covered software is being used for a commercial, business, professional, or revenue-generating purpose, a separate commercial license may be required.

4. MODIFICATIONS

Subject to the applicable PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0, permitted users may study, modify, experiment with, benchmark, optimize, or adapt the covered software for permitted noncommercial purposes.

Modification, optimization, translation, adaptation, or extension of the software does not by itself create commercial-use rights.

No separate commercial-use rights arise merely because the covered software has been modified.

Publication of source code, research papers, preprints, documentation, benchmarks, reference implementations, or technical descriptions does not constitute a transfer of copyright ownership.

Access to the source code does not itself grant commercial-use rights.

MLBricks may include, depend upon, interface with, compile against, or distribute software owned by third parties.

Third-party software remains subject to its respective:

- Licenses
- Terms and conditions

This license does not replace, modify, restrict, extend, or override the licenses applicable to third-party components.

Use of third-party dependencies remains governed by their respective licenses.

8. THIRD-PARTY TECHNOLOGIES AND DEPENDENCIES

The covered MLBricks software may interface with third-party technologies, libraries, runtime environments, development tools, hardware platforms, or software frameworks.

Such third-party technologies are not owned by the MLBricks copyright owners merely because the covered software interfaces with or depends upon them.

Their respective license terms continue to apply independently.

This MLBricks license applies only to the MLBricks software covered by this notice.

9. RESEARCH PAPERS AND DOCUMENTATION

Unless another license is expressly specified, this software license applies to software only.

Research papers, preprints, documentation, diagrams, figures, datasets, trained models, model weights, benchmark datasets, research results, and other materials may be distributed under separate licenses or terms.

Users should refer to the applicable file, repository, publication, model card, dataset notice, documentation, or accompanying license to determine the terms governing each material.

10. NO IMPLIED COMMERCIAL LICENSE

No commercial license is created merely because:

- The source code is publicly accessible
- The repository can be cloned
- The software can be installed
- The software can technically be compiled
- The software can technically be executed
- Benchmarks have been published
- A research paper describing the technology has been published
- The software has been referenced in academic work
- The software has been modified
- The software has been optimized
- The software has been ported to another platform
- The software has been incorporated into an experimental model
- The software has been made available through a public repository

Commercial rights must arise from the applicable license or from a separate written commercial agreement.
