# Aeveon Simulator

The Aeveon Simulator is a software simulation of the digital block of the Aeveon ASIC developed by SynSense Group.

This package provides the prebuilt native extension for running the reference simulator directly from Python. It is intended for researchers and developers working with event-based vision, chip configuration, and reference compression and decoding workflows.

## Installation

```bash
pip install aeveon_simulator
```

Requires Python 3.10 or newer.

## Quick start

See the documentation for an example script to load images and process them with the simulator to obtain the encoded data.

## Features

- configure simulator and chip parameters
- run the reference compression pipeline
- decode encoded output back to reconstructed frames
- evaluate latency, power, and quality metrics
