# pyLogCrafter

**pyLogCrafter** (`pylogcrafter`) supports **basin-scale well-log** quality control, spatial normalization, gap-filling (imputation), electrofacies / lithofacies tools, and visualization — especially large LAS fleets with incomplete coverage, mixed vendors and vintages, and uneven quality.

In reservoir analysis and basin modeling, well-log QC is often a bottleneck before the science can start. **pyLogCrafter** is being developed to automate cleaning and normalization, then learn how multiple log types relate at a given location and depth. With that local geological and stratigraphic context, it can fill missing log segments and, in many cases, help predict curves that were never measured — for example, when a new borehole has only gamma ray, offering reasoned estimates for other log types. Preprocessed, gap-filled multi-log datasets are also intended to feed automated stratigraphic correlation and tops-picking workflows (e.g. ChronoLog) and to support QC/QA, high-resolution stratigraphy, geomodeling, and core-calibrated lithofacies work.

> **pyLogCrafter** is under active development. Users are solely responsible for verifying all outputs and for any decisions, risks, or errors arising from use of this software.

Development continues and a fuller release is on the way. Stay tuned for updates.
