# hello-pop-9f4k

A tiny Windows hello popup. Install it, import it, call `hello()`.

```python
import hello_pop_9f4k
hello_pop_9f4k.hello()
```

One native dialog appears. No bundled `.exe`, no `subprocess`, no `.pth`, no
`sitecustomize.py`, and **no code runs during `pip install`**. The only trigger
is your call to `hello()`.

## Install

```powershell
pip install hello-pop-9f4k
```

## Use

Exact one-liner, after import:

```python
import hello_pop_9f4k
hello_pop_9f4k.hello()
```

Or import the function directly:

```python
from hello_pop_9f4k import hello
hello()
```

Optional text and title:

```python
hello("hi there", "my title")
```

Aliases: `show_hello()` and `popup()` do the same thing.

## What the popup looks like

It is the native Windows message box, not a Tk window:

- title bar: `hello`
- body text: `hello`
- information icon
- one **OK** button
- topmost and foregrounded
- blocks the calling thread until you click OK or close it
- Windows only; on other platforms the call returns `False`

It shows immediately when `hello()` is called. It does **not** auto-close, and
there is no timer. Each call opens one dialog.

## Quiet mode

```powershell
$env:LN9_QUIET = "1"
```

`hello()` returns `False` and shows nothing. Useful for tests and CI.

## Command line

```powershell
hello-pop-9f4k
hello-pop-9f4k "hi there"
hello-pop-9f4k --info
```

## What it is not

- No install-time execution.
- No executable is installed.
- No download at runtime.
- No persistence, no startup hook.
- No network access.

The whole package is three `.py` files. You can read them before installing.

## Uninstall

```powershell
pip uninstall hello-pop-9f4k
```

## License

MIT.
