Data Oil Software Licence
Version 1.0, October 2026

Copyright (c) 2026 Max Dragon Technology Research & Development (MaxDragon Technology).
All rights reserved.

This licence governs the software distributed with it: libraries, packages, command-line tools,
servers (including the Data Oil MCP server), sample code and documentation (together, the
"Software"). By installing, copying or using any part of the Software you accept this licence. If
you do not accept it, do not install or use the Software.

1. Definitions

   "Licensor" means Max Dragon Technology Research & Development, a company incorporated in the
   Kingdom of Thailand and trading as MaxDragon Technology, the owner of Data Oil.
   "Platform" means the Data Oil service and everything that delivers it: its engines, gateways,
   APIs, endpoints, user interfaces, sandbox and demonstration systems, networks and the data held
   in them.
   "Credential" means an account, key, token, certificate or password issued by the Licensor.
   "You" means the person or organisation that uses the Software.

2. Licence grant

   Subject to your compliance with this licence, the Licensor grants you a personal, non-exclusive,
   non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use the Software, in the
   form the Licensor publishes it, solely to access the Platform with a Credential issued to you,
   for a Legitimate Use (clause 3), and in accordance with the agreement under which that Credential
   was issued.

   You may reference the Software as a dependency of your own application, and the package manager
   of that application may fetch it from the Licensor's published source. That does not permit you
   to redistribute the Software yourself.

3. Legitimate use only

   The Software is licensed only for lawful, legitimate business, development, evaluation or
   educational purposes that are consistent with the Licensor's published terms and rate card
   ("Legitimate Use"). Any other use is unlicensed. The Licensor may decide, acting reasonably,
   whether a use is a Legitimate Use.

4. Restrictions

   Except as this licence expressly permits, or as applicable law permits despite this restriction,
   you must not, and must not allow anyone else to:

   (a) copy the Software, except for the copies reasonably needed for the use licensed in clause 2
       and one backup copy;
   (b) modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Software;
   (c) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decrypt or otherwise try to derive the source
       code, algorithms, protocols, data formats or internal design of the Software or the Platform;
   (d) sell, rent, lease, lend, sublicense, publish, distribute or otherwise make the Software
       available to anyone else, or offer it as a hosted or managed service;
   (e) remove, alter or obscure any copyright, trademark, licence or other notice;
   (f) use the Software or knowledge gained from it to build, train or improve a product or service
       that competes with the Platform; or
   (g) use the Software in breach of any law, including export-control and sanctions laws.

5. Protection of the Platform

   You must not, whether with the Software or by any other means:

   (a) access, or attempt to access, the Platform, any account, tenant, database or data without
       authorisation, or use a Credential that was not issued to you;
   (b) hack, probe, scan, map or test the vulnerability of the Platform, or breach or circumvent
       its authentication, authorisation, encryption, rate limits, quotas, budgets, read-only
       restrictions, metering, billing or any other security or usage control;
   (c) carry out, attempt or assist any malicious attack on the Platform or on the Licensor,
       including denial-of-service or flooding attacks, deliberate resource exhaustion, injection
       attacks, or the introduction of malware or other harmful code;
   (d) interfere with or disrupt the Platform, its other users or the networks that carry it;
   (e) scrape, harvest or bulk-extract data beyond what your Credential and agreement permit; or
   (f) use the Platform to store, process or transmit unlawful, infringing or fraudulent content.

   Security testing of the Platform is permitted only with the Licensor's prior written
   authorisation, and only within its scope. If you find a vulnerability, report it promptly and
   privately to info@dataoil.tech, and do not use, disclose or exploit it.

6. Sample code

   Where the Software includes sample code that is marked as such, you may copy and modify that
   sample code solely to build your own applications that access the Platform for a Legitimate Use.
   Clauses 3, 5, 7, 8, 9 and 10 continue to apply to the sample code and to anything built from it.

7. Ownership

   The Software and the Platform are licensed, not sold. The Licensor and its licensors keep all
   rights, title and interest in them, including all intellectual property rights. "Data Oil" and
   the Data Oil marks are trademarks of the Licensor and are not licensed to you. Any feedback you
   give may be used by the Licensor without obligation to you.

   This licence grants no right to use the Platform. Access to the Platform needs a Credential and
   is governed by the agreement under which that Credential is issued; the Platform meters and
   charges for its use according to that agreement and the published rate card.

8. Third-party components

   The Software may use third-party components, which are licensed under their own terms as
   listed in the NOTICE file. Nothing in this licence restricts your rights under those terms.

9. Termination

   This licence ends automatically, without notice, if you breach any of its terms. The Licensor
   may also end it, or suspend or revoke any Credential, at any time if it reasonably believes the
   Software or the Platform is being misused. When the licence ends you must stop using the
   Software and destroy every copy you hold. Clauses 4, 5, 7, 9, 10 and 11 survive termination.

   A breach of clause 4 or 5 may cause the Licensor irreparable harm. The Licensor may seek
   injunctive or other equitable relief in addition to any other remedy, may recover its costs of
   investigating and responding to the breach, and may report unlawful activity to the relevant
   authorities.

10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

   THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING
   THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE
   FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR
   OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION
   WITH THE SOFTWARE OR ITS USE. Nothing in this licence excludes a liability that cannot be
   excluded by law, including rights you have as a consumer.

11. General

   This licence is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand, and the courts of Thailand have
   exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from it. Misuse of the Platform may also be an
   offence under the Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007) of Thailand and the laws of other
   countries. If a
   provision is held unenforceable, it is limited to the minimum extent needed and the rest of the
   licence stays in force. The Licensor may publish a new version of this licence, which applies to
   versions of the Software released with it. Permissions not expressly granted are reserved.
