Welcome to XPyCode

This installer will set up XPyCode — the Python-Excel integration service — on your Mac.

What will be installed

XPyCode service at /Applications/XPyCode/
Dedicated Python runtime (isolated, does not modify your system Python)
xpycode:// URL protocol handler for Excel Add-in communication
Launch Agent for automatic start at login
Desktop shortcut and uninstaller script

Requirements

macOS 10.15 Catalina or later (Intel or Apple Silicon)
Internet connection (Python 3 is downloaded and extracted locally; xpycode_master is installed via pip)
Administrator password

Note: The installer will download Python 3 and extract it directly into /Applications/XPyCode/python/ — no system-wide Python is installed. The xpycode_master package is then installed into that isolated Python environment. Please ensure you have an active internet connection before proceeding.
