# pytest-jitters

**Your test suite gets a nervous monkey who sweats each red test with you.** Jitters the VibeCoder sits at the end of every pytest run: calm when it is green, sweating at the first red, wrecked past a third red.

![Jitters at 11:52 pm, on his fifth coffee](https://vibeoverflow.lol/shop/1152pm.webp)

```
pip install pytest-jitters
```

That is all; pytest finds him on its own.

```
Jitters: sweating. 1 red of 3. He is sweating.
```

The one link shows him drawn in that mood, with a picture to save: [vibeoverflow.lol/week](https://vibeoverflow.lol/week?src=pytest).

## What it reads

Only the pass and fail counts of the run pytest just made. No network call, no file, no telemetry, no dependency but pytest. The link carries the mood word, nothing else.

## The rules, first that holds

1. nothing ran: **asleep**
2. no red test: **calm**
3. more than a third of the run red (failures and errors): **wrecked**
4. any red: **sweating**

## Off

`--no-jitters` for one run, `-p no:jitters` in your `addopts` for good; `-qq` keeps him quiet too.

## Him, on your desk
