# agent-memory-service (placeholder)

This is a **placeholder package**. The actual implementation lives at:

- PyPI: <https://pypi.org/project/mcp-memory-service/>
- GitHub: <https://github.com/doobidoo/mcp-memory-service>

## Install the real package

```bash
pip install mcp-memory-service
```

## Why does this name exist on PyPI?

`mcp-memory-service` (semantic memory layer for AI applications) reserves a small set of obvious alternative names so users who guess them get a clear pointer to the real package, and so the names are not available for squatting. See [issue #809](https://github.com/doobidoo/mcp-memory-service/issues/809) for context.
