Usage

Returns the absolute value of the convolution response from a single Gabor kernel (orientation `theta=pi*a, frequency 0.1+0.3*b), normalized by the kernel's L1 norm. A real-part-only kernel with the DC component removed (mean subtracted), acting as a band-pass texture filter that responds selectively to stripe patterns of the specified direction and frequency. Corresponds to HALCON's gen_gabor` (Generate a Gabor filter) -- a simplified version using only a real kernel with no imaginary part / phase.
