FINAL REPORT
EXAMINATION: CHEST (PORTABLE AP)

INDICATION: History: ___M with hypoxia

TECHNIQUE: Upright AP view of the chest

COMPARISON: ___ chest radiograph, CT chest ___

FINDINGS:

Marked degenerative changes of both glenohumeral joints are present. Pulmonary vasculature is not engorged. Hilar contours are similar. No pneumothorax is demonstrated. Remote left-sided rib fractures are again noted. The aorta demonstrates diffuse atherosclerotic calcifications and is tortuous as seen previously. Streaky and patchy opacities in the bases are new from previous study which may reflect atelectasis though infection is not excluded. Heart size remains mildly enlarged with left ventricular predominance. A trace left pleural effusion also appears new compared to the prior study.

IMPRESSION:

Trace left pleural effusion. Patchy and streaky opacities in the lung bases, possibly atelectasis but infection cannot be excluded.
