HISTORY: ___-year-old man with prolonged ICU course after motor vehicle
collision. Evaluate for pulmonary edema and pneumonia.

IMPRESSION: AP chest compared to ___:

No pneumothorax.
The heart is normal size.
Tracheostomy tube and transvenous pacer and pacer defibrillator leads in standard placements.
Small left and presumed but smaller right pleural effusions are unchanged.
Small amount of pleural fluid is trapped in the minor fissure.
Mild pulmonary edema is no worse today than on ___, when it was new or increased since ___.
Region of consolidation at the right lung base laterally is most likely pneumonia.
Diminished aeration in the lower lobes, particularly the left, could be atelectasis alone.
