 EXAMINATION:  CHEST (PORTABLE AP)
 
 INDICATION:  ___ year old man with multiple rib fractures s/p accident  // s/p
 ETT placement      s/p ETT placement
 
 COMPARISON:  Chest radiographs ___ through ___ at 03:20.
 
 IMPRESSION: 
 
 Subcutaneous emphysema in the right thoraco abdominal wall at the site of thoracostomy is unchanged. Right apical pleural drainage tube still in place. No pneumothorax. Worsening consolidation in the left lower lobe could be pneumonia. Small bilateral pleural effusions increased. Right lower lobe is still collapsed. Nasogastric tube ends in the mid portion of the stomach. Right subclavian line tip is close to or just beyond the superior cavoatrial junction. Tip of the new endotracheal tube at the upper margin of the clavicles is no less than 58 mm from the carina. With the chin elevated this is approximately 15 mm above optimal placement.
