FINAL REPORT
AP CHEST, 3:23 A.M., ___

HISTORY: ___-year-old woman in shock, with DKA. Check ET tube placement and
signs of volume overload.

IMPRESSION: AP chest compared to ___:

ET tube is in standard placement. Left subclavian line ends low in the SVC. A nasogastric tube passes below the diaphragm and out of view. The heart is normal size. Mediastinal veins are no longer dilated, indicating decrease in central venous pressure and/or volume. Moderate right pleural effusion has increased, layering posteriorly in the supine patient. As suggested previously, there may be a region of consolidation in the right upper lobe, that could be pneumonia. Now there is new consolidation in the left lower lobe, either a second focus of pneumonia or atelectasis. The patient went into pulmonary edema between ___ and ___. It is moderately severe, not worsened moderately since. Dr. ___ and I discussed the findings
