Signal name: Inbound Connection Risk Signal

On 2026-05-22, Airport Operations Control identified 42 connecting passengers on
inbound flight AY417 who had less than 22 estimated transfer minutes to outbound
flights from Terminal 2.

The signal source is the Flight Connection Reliability Data Product enriched
with inbound flight estimates and outbound boarding close times. The signal
strength is high because three outbound flights had boarding close times inside
the minimum connection time rule. The confidence level is medium because the
inbound aircraft had not reached the arrival stand at the time of calculation.

The signal is relevant to Passenger Connection Protection and should be linked
to the Flight Connection Reliability Data Product. It may also influence Flight
Delay Risk Monitoring if operations decides to hold an outbound flight.

Recommended action: connection desk coordinators should meet the inbound flight,
prioritize security fast track for affected passengers, and ask airline station
managers whether any outbound flight can hold boarding for up to seven minutes.
