# secfeed (Python)

Client for the [SecFeed](https://secfeedapi.com) SEC EDGAR API. No dependencies, Python 3.8+.

```bash
pip install secfeed
```

```python
from secfeed import Client
sf = Client("sf_...")  # free key at https://secfeedapi.com
sf.filings('ticker:AAPL AND formType:"10-K"', size=5)
sf.insider_trades(ticker="NVDA", code="P")
sf.financial_statements("AAPL")
sf.events_8k(item="5.02")
for filing in sf.stream(form_types=["8-K"]):
    print(filing["companyName"], filing["formType"])
```

Every endpoint in the [API docs](https://secfeedapi.com/docs/) has a method. Errors raise `SecFeedError`.

SecFeed is an independent service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Filing data comes from SEC EDGAR, which is public.
