This page describes caddforge-core 0.22.0, tagged as v0.22.0. Published on PyPI; see the version matrix.

caddforge-core provides the shared runtime that all tool plugins build on:

  • base abstractions for data, workflows, jobs, backends, and results
  • Pydantic-based configuration loading and validation
  • CLI entry point
  • plugin discovery
  • local and Slurm execution backends
  • standardized run directories, logs, metadata, and result loading
  • pipeline specification and execution

The core package must stay independent of specific scientific tools. Tool-specific behavior belongs in plugin packages.
