SAFETY AND INTENDED USE

eeg-mcp is research software. It is NOT a medical device. It has not been
validated, certified, or cleared for clinical use by any regulatory authority,
and nothing it produces constitutes a diagnosis.

The stimulation backends can drive devices — including transcranial magnetic
stimulation (TMS) and transcranial electrical stimulation (tES) — that are
capable of causing harm, including seizure. These backends are generic
transports configured by the operator from their own device documentation. They
are NOT validated vendor drivers, and no backend has been tested against any
specific commercial stimulator.

Use only under a protocol approved by an appropriate ethics board or IRB, on
equipment whose device-level safety interlocks are intact, with a trained
operator present. The software safety gates are a backstop against an
autonomous caller; they do not replace the safety systems of the device.

Vendor and product names appearing in the documentation identify the class of
device a transport is designed to reach. They do not indicate testing,
endorsement, affiliation, or any relationship with those manufacturers.
