Frequency Set

A Frequency Set records a transmit/receive pair with the details needed by a communications path. Transmit and receive values are entered in MHz.

Create a set

  1. Open Frequency Sets and select Add.
  2. Enter a unique name, transmit frequency, and receive frequency.
  3. Select the transport type and provide its required details.
  4. Add the band, satellite, provider, status, and tenant where applicable, then save.

For SATCOM, access method, modulation, and polarization are required. For Other, enter a transport subtype to explain the technology. If a band is selected, both frequencies must lie within its boundaries.

TRAX checks for transmit/receive conflicts against sets in Active, Planned, or Maintenance status. Checks use the same band and satellite; entries without a satellite are compared with other entries without one. With no band selected, this conflict check does not run. Conflict messages identify the existing sets to review.

Assign the set to a Transport Option to use it for a mission's FDMA path. One set can be assigned to only one Transport Option at a time.
