# AGSB3D

**Validated, editable 3D assets from AI briefs, through tested Blender workflows instead of model-written scripts.**

AGSB3D is a local-first MCP server and CLI. An AI client, or you, writes a structured brief: what to make, its size, its budgets, the deliverables, and optionally a motion or a scene. AGSB3D then does the rest:

1. It compiles the brief into a hash-bound plan.
2. It runs reviewed Blender operations in a supervised background worker.
3. It measures every result in a fresh process: geometry, dimensions, pivot, budgets, UVs, textures, an independent GLB parse, axis conversion, reimport, and, for animation, every frame.
4. It optionally verifies the asset inside Unreal Engine or Unity.
5. It publishes a delivery bundle whose manifest says exactly which checks passed and which did not.

Passing gates proves the measured checks, nothing more. It is not a claim of professional artistic quality.

## What it makes

| Skill | Makes | Verified in |
|---|---|---|
| `procedural-tree` | Naturalistic oak with leaf cards, PBR textures, and design candidates | Blender, Unreal, Unity |
| `procedural-barrel` | Headed wooden cask with iron hoops | Blender, Unreal, Unity |
| `procedural-rock` | Boulder with baked, seamless stone and lichen, rounded, angular, layered, or slab-shaped | Blender, Unreal, Unity |
| `procedural-ground` | Ground patch with a level clearing and a path | Blender, Unreal, Unity |
| `woodland-clearing` | A scene of instanced oaks and rocks with goal cameras and a scene budget | Blender, Unity |
| `hinged-door` | A door with editable swing clips, measured frame by frame and played back in Unity | Blender, Unity |
| Static props: 65 skills on a shared kit of closed parts and tileable textures | Furniture, containers, lights, structures, vegetation, and terrain; houses, cars, trucks, bicycles, and street furniture; interiors; containers, drums, and pallets; palms and cacti; firewood stacks, produce, baskets, and leaf litter | Blender |
| `wooden-crate`, `wooden-chair`, `shipping-container`, `leafy-bush`, `iron-lantern` | The first engine slices of the catalogue: baked and tiled roughness-metallic maps, plain wood, masked double-sided cards, emission | Blender, Unreal, Unity |
| Design controls | A shared style profile across skills (`woodland_craft`), variation channels, structural archetypes and 2–5 compared candidates for the crate, the house, and the rock, and a use history baked as wear where it belongs | Blender |
| Mechanisms: `hinged-chest`, `window-shutters`, `double-gate`, `pull-lever`, `windmill-rotor` | Pivoting parts with editable clips, measured frame by frame | Blender |
| `prop-assembly` | Any static prop described as closed parts, its envelope known at planning | Blender |
| `humanoid` | A rigged, skinned base character with idle, walk, and wave clips | Blender |
| `campsite`, `village-square`, `city-block` | Scenes composed from the kit: settlements, a used courtyard with goods on the counters and firewood against the huts, and a street grid with houses, cars, lamps, traffic lights, and street furniture | Blender |
| Every kit skill | Its own object for every brief (a seed is drawn when none is given); levels of detail and convex collision hulls on request | Blender |
| `asset-repair` | Repairs of an existing `.blend` prop, with checkpoints and rollback | Blender |
| `diagnostic-axis-fixture` | An axis and scale marker for interchange checks | Blender, Unreal, Unity |

## Install

Requirements: Windows 11 x64, Python 3.12 or later, and Blender 5.2.1 LTS. Unreal Engine 5.8.2 and Unity 6000.3.27f1 are optional, for engine verification.

```powershell
python -m pip install agsb3d
agsb3d doctor
```

Use it from an MCP client, for example Claude Code:

```powershell
claude mcp add agsb3d -- agsb3d mcp serve
```

## Status

This is an alpha release (`0.1.0a3`). Known limits:

- Windows only.
- One verified build per application.
- Most kit skills are verified in Blender only; five representatives are verified in Unreal and Unity, and the rest of their engine verification is still to come.
- Visual reviews so far were done by an AI reviewer, not by people.

The documentation, architecture, decisions, compatibility matrix, and the evidence behind every claim are in the project repository: https://github.com/saferbayram/agsb3d

## License

Apache-2.0 AND GPL-3.0-or-later. The code that runs inside Blender is GPL-3.0-or-later because it uses Blender's Python API; everything else is Apache-2.0.
