Learn how to add both static and dynamic content to your pages using the CKEditor rich text editor and NDR Core's special codes.

Add Static Content

Use the CKEditor rich text editor to add formatted text, images, tables, and links to your pages.

Working with CKEditor

  1. Click in the template text field when creating/editing a page
  2. Use the toolbar to format text (bold, italic, headings, etc.)
  3. Insert tables, lists, quotes, and links
  4. Add inline images with copy/paste or upload

Best Practices

  • Insert plain text first, format second: Paste unformatted text, then apply styling in CKEditor for consistent results
  • Use headings hierarchically: H2 for main sections, H3 for subsections, etc.
  • Keep formatting simple: Consistent, minimal formatting looks more professional
  • Use NDR Core images: Instead of inline images, use the Image Manager with UI Elements for better control
  • Paste from Word: Copy styled content from Word/Google Docs directly - formatting transfers well

Tip: For complex layouts, use UI Elements instead of tables. They're responsive and easier to maintain.

Enhance your pages with interactive and dynamic elements using special codes.

UI Elements

Insert rich components like slideshows, carousels, cards, and figures:

When to Use What

  • Simple text/images: Use CKEditor directly
  • Image galleries: Use Slideshow or Carousel UI Elements
  • Feature boxes: Use Card or Image Card UI Elements
  • Hero sections: Use Banner or Jumbotron UI Elements
  • Team members: Use About Page type or manually create cards
  • Reusable content: Store as custom settings

Note: UI Element codes only work in page types that support rich text (Template, About, etc.). They don't work in search configurations or result templates.
