# CIGAR: local context graphs

No HOL account, API key, service, daemon, database or model provider is needed for the local graph.

- Node.js 24 ESM: install @hol-org/cigar; import { LocalContextGraph, getLocalContextCapabilities } from "@hol-org/cigar/context".
- Python 3.14: install hol-cigar; from cigar_sdk import LocalContextGraph, get_local_context_capabilities.
- Node diagnostic: npx --no-install cigar-context doctor --json
- Python diagnostic: python -m cigar_sdk.local_cli doctor --json
- Full offline integration example: cigar-context demo --json (use the command in the installed environment).
- If /context is absent, the installed npm SDK may be 0.9.4; choose a local-context distribution.
- doctor reports file availability separately from a verified compile and negotiated worker features. A platform inventory is not proof of release qualification.
- If the worker is unavailable, use the diagnostic platform/version guidance. This is not a missing HOL service.
- Reuse one graph per privacy domain, ingest explicitly authorized text, replace changed sources, pass current allowed IDs, preserve required dependencies and citations, and close the graph on shutdown.
- The 0.14 candidate provides LocalContextBroker and LocalContextClient for independent same-host agents sharing one worker. The host owns grants, provenance, admission and reviews; clients cannot broaden scope or approve their own claims. No HOL service is needed.
- Read packaged BROKER_GUIDE.md for Python/Node setup and optional SQLite persistence. Recovery restores evidence, not grants, tickets, reviews or execution permission; obtain fresh authority after restart. Native graph operations stay serialized.
- Packaged SELECTION_EXPLANATIONS.md and SYNTAX_INGESTION.md describe selected-evidence inspection and parser-supplied chunk boundaries.
- Answer review requires separately trusted semantic verdicts. Confidence and a generator's own supported flag do not authorize release. Only display assessed claims on release; recheck when source or policy changes.
- Read the packaged AGENT_GUIDE.md for the full integration contract and ingestion recipes.

## Previous stable 0.12 documentation

These versioned pages describe 0.12. For the installed 0.14 candidate, use the packaged guides above and its exact qualification receipt; it is not yet a registry release.
