# iomoth

A small, official helper for [iomoth](https://iomoth.ai), the private AI workspace that runs on your own computer.

```
pipx run iomoth check
```

## Commands

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `iomoth check` | Says whether this computer meets iomoth's requirements, and what's missing if it doesn't. Add `--json` for machine-readable output. |
| `iomoth verify <file> --sha256 <value>` | Checks that a downloaded installer matches the SHA-256 published on iomoth.ai. Without `--sha256`, it prints the file's SHA-256. |
| `iomoth links` | The official places to get iomoth. Anything else claiming to be iomoth isn't from us. |

## Requirements it checks

- macOS 13 or later on Apple Silicon (M1 or later), or Windows 11
- 16 GB of memory or more
- 2 GB of free disk for the app, plus space for the models you choose

## Privacy and safety

It makes no network connections, writes nothing, starts no other programs, and has no dependencies or install scripts. `verify` only reads the file you name.

You can also run it with `python -m iomoth`. The same tool is on npm as `iomoth`.
