PyCForge 1.3.10 — Windows startup checks

Install the included wheel in the Python environment used for PyCForge.
Open normally with: py -m pycforge.ide
Open with temporary defaults: py -m pycforge.ide --safe-mode
The pycforge-workspace command accepts the same --safe-mode option.

Confirm that a normal launch restores available saved files and the active file.
If a previous file has moved or is unavailable, confirm that the workspace remains usable and the Startup report identifies that file. Restore the file at its original path and restart to retry it. PyCForge does not recreate or overwrite missing or damaged Python files during startup.

The Startup report should appear in front of the workspace. Confirm the warning icon beside the message, white text area with dark text, read-only behavior, text selection, Copy report, and Close. If restoration is still running, the report may update as further failures are encountered.

Safe start should open an empty workspace with default preferences and leave the normal settings and saved file list untouched. Close it and start normally to return to those preferences.

If startup cannot finish because installed resources or dependencies are damaged, retain the displayed error and reinstall from a complete release. There is no need to delete Python source files or clear the Windows registry to try safe start.

These checks require native Windows verification; automated release checks were run on Linux with Qt offscreen.
