S-Bike Training Hub

Build a program around your sports.

A free, local hub for cycling, swimming, running and strength—in any combination. Plan your training, compare estimated loads, record how it felt and revise your program as you learn what works for you.

HOW IT WORKS

1

Your assistant sets you up

Talk it through with your AI assistant: your basics, a quick health check, what you do now and what you're aiming for. It asks one question at a time and helps with anything you're unsure of.

2

You train and report

Your fitness tracker records every session. A quick morning check-in and a few words after a workout say how your body actually feels.

3

The hub keeps the record

What you did in each sport, how efficient it was (pace or power against heart rate, with the day's temperature), and where the work landed on your body. Your reports are the evidence that matters most.

4

Your assistant plans with it

It lays out your season, then plans the coming week's workouts from how the last one went. You see every change first, and your call always wins.

GET STARTED WITH YOUR AI

1. Connect your assistant (the steps are just below). Checking for your assistant…

2. Copy this into your assistant to begin, or just talk to it in your own words:

I just installed S-Bike Training Hub. Please call get_setup_status and walk me through setting up: my basics, a quick health check, my current routine and my goals, then my first program. Ask one question at a time and help me with anything I'm not sure about.

Setup works through the assistant's connection to the hub (MCP): that's how it reads what the hub needs and saves your answers safely. An assistant that isn't connected can chat, but it can't set anything up. No assistant? Set up by hand below.

BUILT TO WORK WITH AN AI ASSISTANT

The hub keeps the numbers; your AI does the coaching conversation. It works with a frontier model (like Claude) or a local model running free on your own computer, through any app that supports MCP servers. The hub stores your records on your computer. A cloud AI receives the information you choose to share with it; use a local model for an entirely local coaching conversation.

🧭 Consult me

"Look at my training load and plan me a lifting session that fits my triathlon plan for the next three weeks. Let's discuss it."

Your AI leads with your numbers and the hub's suggestions, and you shape the plan together.

📋 I have a plan

"I have a workout: goblet squats 3 × 8 at 35, dead hangs 3 × 30 seconds…"

Your AI records it as you said it and scores it, so the load counts. Your plan stands.

Connect it (Claude Code):

claude mcp add --scope user s-bike-hub -- "…/.venv/bin/python" "…/mcp_server.py"

Claude Desktop and other MCP apps: install io.github.JHarp199345/s-bike-hub from the MCP Registry, or the one-file bundle from the GitHub releases. More in Training with your AI.

YOUR BIKE

Riding without a smart bike? Skip this - everything else works without one.

Turn the bike on and pedal a few turns to wake it. Disconnect it from any phone or watch app first: most bikes allow only one connection.

WHAT YOU NEED

⌚ A fitness trackerAny watch that exports activity files (.fit or .tcx): COROS, Garmin and most others. Your training load is built from what it records.
🤖 An AI assistantFrontier or local. A local model costs nothing to run.
🚴 A smart bikeOptional. Without one, the hub is your multisport coach; with one (tested on a Merach S29), it runs your rides too: hills, gears, ERG workouts and 3D routes.

What your tracker needs, for every metric

Missing a feature never breaks anything. It just means fewer metrics.

SET UP BY HAND

No assistant? Set up by hand

Two minutes. These set your starting points; your check-ins and reports tune them from there. You can change anything later.

Your sports, and your experience in each

Where you're starting from

Loaded starts your limits 30% more cautious; your reports adjust them from there.

Numbers you already know (optional)

Your starting program

Choose the sports above, then a workload to preview. Basic exercises and sessions are editable. By hand, the starter fills up to 12 weeks of sessions. With an assistant, your season is laid out and each week's workouts are planned from how the last one went.

Strength starting weights & calibration

Enter a recent comfortable set for barbell prescriptions. Weight includes the bar, in your selected units. Prefer 6–10 reps with 2–3 reps left. If you don't know, do a familiarization session and report the result before assigning future barbell weights.

Setup matches your selected sports and experience. Week one establishes what you handle comfortably; your reports guide every increase, with lighter weeks along the way. No max-effort tests required.
