# Manifest

AI code suggestions inside GitHub's web editor, powered by Groq. Inline completions,
plus Explain / Comment / Fix / Docstring actions on selected code.

## Install

```bash
pip install manifest-ai
python -m manifest_ai install
```

Then in Chrome: `chrome://extensions` → enable **Developer mode** → **Load unpacked** →
select the folder printed by the command (default `~/ManifestExtension`).

Click the extension icon, sign in with GitHub, and paste your
[Groq API key](https://console.groq.com/keys).

> Why the extra step? Chrome doesn't allow a command line tool to silently install
> extensions, so `pip` delivers the files and you load them once.

## Usage

| Key | Action |
| --- | --- |
| `Tab` | accept suggestion |
| `Ctrl+Right` | accept one word |
| `Alt+]` / `Alt+[` | next / previous option |
| `Esc` | dismiss |
| `Alt+Shift+E / C / F / D` | Explain / Comment / Fix / Docstring on selection |

## Commands

```
manifest-ai install [--dir PATH]   copy extension files (re-run to upgrade)
manifest-ai path                   print bundled extension location
manifest-ai --version
```

## Development

```bash
git clone https://github.com/shukdevtroy/manifest-ai && cd manifest-ai
pip install -e .
```
The extension source lives in `src/manifest_ai/extension/`. When you bump the version,
update `pyproject.toml`, `src/manifest_ai/__init__.py` and `extension/manifest.json`.

## Releasing

Publishing is automated: create a GitHub Release and the workflow in
`.github/workflows/publish.yml` uploads to PyPI via Trusted Publishing.
