Used to read RDP sessions on each bench. Stored encrypted on this server.

Bench Agent recommended

Push install deploys the agent and registers native rdp:// on that bench (machine-wide). When you click Connect from your PC, the dashboard opens mstsc.exe automatically on your computer.

Set RDD_BENCH_AGENT_TOKEN=<long-random-string> in %LOCALAPPDATA%\RemoteDesktopDashboard\admin.env and restart the dashboard.
Make sure the service account above is a local admin on every bench.
Sign in as admin, then click Push install next to a bench below.

One-click Remote Desktop on this PC

Browsers cannot start mstsc.exe directly. To make Connect launch mstsc to the RDP login screen with no .rdp file in Downloads, this PC needs a tiny user-registry entry.

The dashboard server installs / upgrades this entry automatically for the user running the server, every time you upgrade (pip install --upgrade / service restart) — no separate script needed on the dashboard host. For operator PCs that are not the dashboard server, run the one-line command below once on each. HKCU only — no admin / UAC required.

Download installer

After the installer finishes, the dashboard tab reloads itself with one-click RDP enabled. From then on, Connect on this PC opens mstsc.exe directly to the login screen — no file in Downloads.

Admin accounts

Admin access is keyed off the RDP / Windows login name (the same account they sign in to the bench with). Each admin sets their own password the first time they sign in.
