Copyright © 2026 KSword contributors and applicable copyright holders.
All rights not expressly granted under this License are reserved.

This is a source-available license and is not an open-source license approved by the Open Source Initiative (OSI). This License is drafted primarily under the laws of the People's Republic of China. For purposes of this License, “laws of the People's Republic of China” exclude the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.

Any person who exercises a right granted by this License where authorization from the Licensor is legally required accepts and agrees to comply with this License. Merely obtaining or viewing a publicly accessible copy of the Source Code does not constitute acceptance. However, any copying, modification, Distribution, public provision, hosting, provision of functionality to a Third Party, or other conduct that depends on permission under this License is conditioned on acceptance. Except for conduct permitted by applicable law without authorization, a person who does not accept this License may not exercise any right granted by it.

[SPECIAL NOTICE] Section 13, “Termination, Cure, and Reinstatement,” Section 14, “Disclaimer of Warranty,” and Section 15, “Limitation of Liability,” contain terms materially affecting Recipients. Please review them carefully before exercising rights under this License. The Licensor shall provide a reasonable explanation of those terms upon a Recipient's reasonable request.

0. Official Information and Scope

0.1 This License applies only to files, directories, components, and releases expressly marked with the name or SPDX identifier of this License. Material is not automatically governed by this License merely because it appears in the same repository, installer, image, or distribution medium as the Software.

0.2 The information stated at the top of this License constitutes the “Official Project Information.” The Official Maintainer may update project addresses, contact details, or the license address through the Official Website, Official Repository, or another verifiable official channel. An address update does not change the License version or substantive rights and obligations applicable to a previously released copy.

0.3 The “Official Maintainer” identified above is listed to identify official project channels, receive notices, and administer the project. The Official Maintainer may act on behalf of a Licensor to issue Written Authorization, an exception, reinstatement, or another legal act only to the extent it has valid authority from that Licensor.

0.4 This License does not itself prove that any person owns all rights in a particular file. A person may apply this License only to material for which that person owns the copyright or has sufficient authorization.

1. Definitions

1.1 “Software”
means the KSword source code, object code, executables, installers, container images, user-interface resources, documentation, and accompanying materials released under this License. Third-Party Materials and Plugins expressly accompanied by another license are not automatically included merely because they are supplied with the Software.

1.2 “Source Code”
means the form actually preferred for making modifications. Providing only an obfuscated, compressed, encrypted, unreadably transformed, or automatically generated form while withholding the original form actually used for development and modification does not constitute providing Source Code.

1.3 “Licensor”
means a copyright holder entitled to grant this License for the relevant part of the Software, or an individual, legal person, or unincorporated organization lawfully authorized by that copyright holder.

1.4 “Official Maintainer”
means the project-maintenance party identified at the top of this License and any lawful successor expressly designated through a verifiable official channel. Maintaining the project does not by itself transfer copyright in a Third Party's Contribution to the Official Maintainer.

1.5 “Recipient”
means any individual, legal person, or unincorporated organization that obtains a copy of the Software, accesses its Source Code, or receives functionality of the Software under this License.

1.6 “Third Party”
means any individual, legal person, or unincorporated organization other than the Recipient. Where the Recipient is an organization, employees and contractors who access the Software solely for that organization's internal use and are bound by enforceable confidentiality obligations are not Third Parties. Providing a copy or functionality to customers, independent partners, organizations other than its affiliates, or the public constitutes provision to a Third Party.

1.7 “Modified Version”
means any work created by modifying, adapting, translating, refactoring, merging, or embedding the Software, or by copying copyright-protected expression from the Software, including any work that incorporates all or part of the Software into another project.

1.8 “Distribute” or “Distribution”
means selling, gifting, copying, transmitting, publishing, making available for download, mirroring, pre-installing, bundling, uploading to an application store or software repository, or otherwise providing a copy of the Software or a Modified Version to a Third Party.

1.9 “Online Service”
means providing all or part of the functionality of the Software or a Modified Version to a Third Party over a network, including a hosted service, cloud service, remote instance, API service, or software as a service (SaaS).

1.10 “Complete Corresponding Source”
means the Source Code, in a form suitable for practical modification, necessary to generate, install, run, and modify the distributed object code or the version deployed as an Online Service. It includes modifications made by the Licensor or distributor, build scripts, project files, interface definitions, configuration files, resource files, and other materials necessary to generate the corresponding binaries.

Complete Corresponding Source need not include standard components normally supplied with an operating system or general-purpose development tools and not distributed with the Software; code-signing private keys, certificate private keys, access tokens, production credentials, or personal information; or Third-Party trade secrets that the distributor is not legally entitled to disclose. These exclusions may not be used to withhold actual Source Code, build logic, necessary public-interface documentation, or sample files that a Recipient can configure independently.

1.11 “Official Project Information”
means the official KSword project name, Official Maintainer, Official Repository address, Official Website address, official contact details, and official license address stated at the top of this License or validly updated under Section 0.2.

1.12 “Prominent Location”
means a location reasonably discoverable by an ordinary user without active searching, where the relevant text is not collapsed, obscured, or displayed with materially less visibility or a materially smaller font than other copyright, branding, or source information on the same page:

(a) for a graphical application: at minimum, the download page, installer, and an “About” or “Legal Information” page;
(b) for a command-line program: at minimum, the primary documentation and directly accessible license, version, source, or about information;
(c) for an Online Service: at least one of the login page, primary user interface, footer, “About” page, or “Legal Information” page, in a manner directly discoverable during normal use.

1.13 “Written Authorization”
means express authorization issued by a Licensor or the Official Maintainer having authority to issue it, through a signed document, an official email address under its control, or another verifiable official channel. Written Authorization applies only to the Recipient, conduct, duration, and scope expressly identified in it, is non-transferable, and may not be presumed to extend to matters not expressly authorized.

1.14 “Material Modification”
means a modification that may affect security, compatibility, data processing, network communication, update behavior, driver behavior, system privileges, core functionality, source identification in the user interface, or another matter likely to affect a user's decision whether to install, use, or trust that version.

2. Grant and Reservation of Rights

2.1 Subject to the Recipient's continuing compliance with all terms of this License, the Licensor grants the Recipient a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable license to:

(a) access, view, run, and study the Software;
(b) copy and modify the Software for personal or internal organizational use;
(c) Distribute the Software and Modified Versions free of charge in accordance with this License;
(d) provide an Online Service to Third Parties in accordance with this License; and
(e) use the Software for internal commercial, educational, research, or non-profit purposes.

2.2 Commercial use is permitted, but the Software itself may not be sold as a product. A paid Online Service compliant with Section 6 and genuine professional services compliant with Section 7 do not constitute a sale of the Software merely because a fee is charged.

2.3 Each Recipient's rights arise directly from the applicable Licensor, not from an upstream distributor. No distributor may grant any other license, warranty, endorsement, or authorization on behalf of the Licensor.

2.4 All rights not expressly granted are reserved by the Licensor. This License grants no patent license and no trademark license except for the limited source-identifying use provided in Section 8.

2.5 This License does not restrict conduct that applicable law expressly permits without authorization.

2.6 A Licensor may offer other licenses or Written Authorization for material within that Licensor's control. Doing so does not automatically modify, revoke, or expand rights already granted to other Recipients under this License.

3. Distribution of Unmodified Versions

A Recipient may Distribute an unmodified version of the Software free of charge only if all of the following conditions are satisfied:

(a) the Software is not sold directly or indirectly;
(b) the complete text of this License accompanies the copy;
(c) no copyright notice, author information, source information, license notice, rights-management information, or official project address is removed, hidden, reduced, obscured, or replaced;
(d) when object code, an executable, or an installer is Distributed, the Official Project address and a free Source Code address corresponding to the distributed version are provided in a Prominent Location;
(e) the distributor does not claim that the copy was developed by the distributor, officially certified, officially endorsed, or an exclusive official version;
(f) no term conflicting with this License or further restricting rights granted under it is imposed on the Recipient;
(g) every Source Code link is accessible without charge and points to Source Code corresponding to the distributed version; and
(h) if the official unmodified version contains a “View Source,” “Source Code,” “License,” or similar entry, it is not removed, disabled, hidden, replaced, or redirected to non-corresponding Source Code or a different license.

4. Private Modification and External Provision of Modified Versions

4.1 A Modified Version may remain private only while it is used solely by an individual or internally within an organization and no copy or functional access is provided to a Third Party.

4.2 Distribution of a Modified Version to a Third Party in Source Code, object code, installer, container image, or any other form, or provision of all or part of its functionality to a Third Party through an Online Service, pre-installation, embedding, bundling, or another method, constitutes external provision of a Modified Version and triggers all applicable obligations in this Section.

4.3 When a Modified Version is Distributed in Source Code form, the complete Source Code in a form suitable for practical modification must be provided together with the complete text of this License, the unofficial-version notice, the modification record, and all other information required by this Section. Providing only a patch without a practical means to obtain the Complete Corresponding Source does not fully satisfy this subsection.

4.4 Complete Corresponding Source must be provided to the applicable Third Party without charge at the same time as any of the following occurs:

(a) a binary, installer, container image, or other object-code form of a Modified Version is Distributed;
(b) all or part of the functionality of a Modified Version is provided to a Third Party through an Online Service; or
(c) a Modified Version is pre-installed, embedded, or bundled in another product, system, or service provided to a Third Party.

For an Online Service, the Source Code provided must correspond exactly to the version actually deployed and made available to Third Parties at that time. A Material Modification to the deployment requires a simultaneous update of the corresponding Source Code.

4.5 A Recipient may accompany the Distribution with Complete Corresponding Source or provide a Source Code link. The link must:

(a) point to Source Code corresponding exactly to the distributed binary or deployed service version;
(b) be accessible and downloadable without payment, purchase of membership, a mandatory donation, or another obligation of economic value;
(c) not require acceptance of terms conflicting with this License;
(d) remain valid while the relevant binary or service remains available;
(e) remain valid for at least three years after the last Distribution of that version or the last provision of that service version to a Third Party; and
(f) be restored by the distributor or service operator, or replaced by another free means of access, if the link fails, the repository is deleted, the account is disabled, or access permissions change.

4.6 Complete Corresponding Source may not be provided in an obfuscated, encrypted, view-only without reasonable download, intentionally fragmented, materially incomplete, or otherwise modification-obstructing form. Necessary removal of private keys, credentials, personal information, or legally non-disclosable information may not prevent the Recipient from obtaining the actual Source Code or understanding the build logic.

4.7 A Modified Version may use another primary name, but it must state in a Prominent Location:

“This product is based on a modified version of KSword and is not an official KSword release.”

An Online Service must use a clearly visible statement with substantially the same meaning.

4.8 A Modified Version must include a modification record containing at least:

(a) the name and version number of the Modified Version;
(b) the original KSword version, release number, or commit identifier on which it is based;
(c) the principal modifications;
(d) the modification date;
(e) the name, organization, or contactable identifier of the modifier; and
(f) the address or method for obtaining the Complete Corresponding Source.

Line-by-line disclosure is not required, but no Material Modification may be concealed.

4.9 When a graphical binary of a Modified Version is Distributed, its “About” or “Legal Information” page must contain directly accessible License and Complete Corresponding Source entries. A command-line version must provide the same information in its primary documentation and directly accessible license, source, or about information. If Complete Corresponding Source is supplied directly, the Recipient must still be told where it can reasonably be found.

4.10 A distributor of a Modified Version must preserve the complete text of this License. The Software may not be relicensed, and neither the Software as a whole nor any part of the Modified Version derived from the Software may be represented as governed by another license.

5. Copying, Embedding, and Independent Implementation

5.1 Copying, adapting, or embedding all or part of any copyright-protected source code, object code, user-interface resource, documentation, or other expression from the Software into another project, where authorization is required by law, constitutes creation of a Modified Version and is subject to all applicable terms of this License.

5.2 Use only of ideas, functionality, algorithmic principles, processes, methods of operation, mathematical concepts, factual information, public interfaces, or protocol formats embodied in the Software, without copying copyright-protected expression, does not by itself create a Modified Version.

5.3 Merely interacting with the Software through a public API, command line, network protocol, inter-process communication, or another ordinary interface, or merely aggregating the Software alongside another work, does not automatically create a Modified Version. The determination still depends on whether legally protected expression has been copied, adapted, or embedded.

5.4 This Section does not expand the statutory scope of copyright and does not restrict fair use, statutory permissions, reverse-engineering exceptions, compatibility research, or other conduct that applicable law permits without authorization.

6. Online Services, Hosting, and SaaS

6.1 The Software or a Modified Version may be provided to Third Parties as an Online Service, hosted service, or SaaS, and a fee may be charged for that service, provided that the following are displayed in a Prominent Location:

(a) “Based on KSword” or a source statement with substantially the same meaning;
(b) the Official Project address;
(c) the complete text of this License or a permanently valid link to it; and
(d) if the service uses a Modified Version, the unofficial-version notice, modification record, and Complete Corresponding Source entry required by Section 4.

6.2 An Online Service using a Modified Version must continuously satisfy Section 4 and must update the Source Code, version information, and modification record at the same time as each Material Modification is deployed.

6.3 With prior Written Authorization from an authorized party, some or all of the project information required by Section 6.1 may be omitted within the specific Online Service, duration, and scope identified in that authorization. Unless the Written Authorization expressly states otherwise, authorization to omit displayed information does not waive source-provision obligations, the prohibition on sale, the prohibition on official impersonation, Third-Party license obligations, limitations of liability, or any other obligation.

6.4 Warranties, support commitments, privacy commitments, data-processing commitments, availability commitments, or pricing arrangements independently offered by an Online Service operator bind only that operator and may not be represented or implied to be obligations of the Licensor, Official Maintainer, or other contributors.

7. Prohibition on Sale and Permitted Paid Services

7.1 No person may directly or indirectly sell the Software itself as a product.

7.2 “Selling the Software” includes directly or indirectly requiring payment, purchase of membership, purchase of another product, a mandatory donation, subscription to a service, or another obligation of economic value as a condition for obtaining a copy of the Software, access to Source Code, download rights, local deployment rights, local use rights, or a software license.

7.3 A voluntary donation that does not affect access to, download of, functionality of, updates to, or eligibility for support of the Software is not a sale of the Software.

7.4 A fee may be charged for genuine installation, configuration, migration, training, or technical-support services only if:

(a) the customer is clearly informed before being charged that the Software itself is available free of charge;
(b) the official free-download address is provided;
(c) the service fee is stated separately from any software price, and no fee is described as the Software's purchase price, license fee, activation fee, or consideration for obtaining the Software;
(d) no mandatory service fee is made a condition of obtaining a copy of the Software; and
(e) the customer's right to obtain, use, modify, or Distribute the Software directly under this License is not restricted.

7.5 A fee may be charged for genuine custom-development labor, but a delivered Modified Version remains governed by this License and must be accompanied by Complete Corresponding Source, a modification record, and the unofficial-version notice under Section 4. No custom-development agreement, confidentiality term, technical measure, or other method may prevent the customer from exercising rights granted by this License, except for independently commissioned material that is clearly separable from the Software.

7.6 A paid Online Service compliant with Section 6 is not a sale of the Software, provided the fee is genuinely for hosting, computing, storage, operations, support, or another online service, rather than consideration for obtaining a copy of the Software, local deployment rights, or a software license.

7.7 A fee described as a service fee, membership fee, donation, hardware fee, shipping fee, activation fee, or another charge is nevertheless treated as a sale of the Software if its substance is consideration for a copy of the Software, download rights, local deployment rights, or local use rights.

7.8 The Software may accompany paid hardware or another independent product, but no separate software fee may be charged because the Software is included, purchase of that product may not be made the only practical means of obtaining the Software, and it must be clearly stated that the Software is available free of charge through the official channel.

8. Source Attribution, Project Identifiers, and Official Status

8.1 Copyright notices, author information, source information, license notices, rights-management information, and Official Project addresses contained in the Software may not be removed, hidden, or replaced.

8.2 Use of the word “KSword” solely to satisfy source-attribution obligations under this License does not constitute a trademark license.

8.3 A Modified Version may use another primary name but must retain the “Based on KSword” source statement in a Prominent Location as required by Section 4.7. A Modified Version may not use “KSword” as its primary product name or use name ordering, typography, a domain, or another presentation likely to cause an ordinary user to believe it is an official version.

8.4 Without separate Written Authorization, no person may use or imitate the KSword logo, icons, official website appearance, official organization name, official domain, social-media accounts, release pages, or any identifier likely to cause users to believe that a Modified Version has official approval, cooperation, certification, maintenance, authorization, or endorsement.

8.5 This License does not authorize any person to use, copy, control, or imitate the code-signing certificate, driver-signing identity, update server, update manifest, release channel, API key, cloud service, telemetry service, crash-reporting service, domain name, official account, or other official infrastructure of a Licensor or the Official Maintainer.

8.6 A Modified Version must use independent software identifiers, package identifiers, application identifiers, driver service names, update sources, and signing identities. It may not be distributed through an official update channel and may not overwrite, impersonate, hijack, or damage the installation, update process, file associations, service identity, or other identifying information of an official version.

8.7 This Section does not restrict nominative use, factual source attribution, commentary, comparison, or another use permitted by law without trademark authorization, provided it does not create confusion about source, affiliation, or official status.

9. Plugins and Third-Party Materials

9.1 Plugins, Plugin resources, and Plugin dependencies supplied with the Software are independently licensed. This License grants no right to use, copy, modify, Distribute, or relicense any Plugin.

9.2 Each Plugin is governed only by the license contained in its own directory or clearly displayed and accepted before installation. An installer may read and display the applicable Plugin license before installation. A Plugin with no separate license file or express authorization grants no default right to use, copy, modify, or Distribute it.

9.3 Components, libraries, resources, fonts, code, and other materials supplied by Third Parties with separate copyright or license notices remain governed by their respective licenses. This License does not replace, expand, or restrict rights granted by those Third-Party licenses.

9.4 Where a specific file, directory, or component contains a license notice different from this License, that material's separate license controls. This License applies only to material that the Licensor is entitled to license under it.

9.5 Every distributor must preserve and satisfy copyright notices, NOTICE files, source-provision terms, patent terms, attribution requirements, and other obligations applicable to Third-Party Materials. The “no relicensing” and “no patent license” provisions of this License may not be used to negate rights validly granted by a Third-Party license.

10. Contributions

10.1 “Contribution” means a Pull Request, patch, code, documentation, resource, or other material intentionally submitted to an official code repository managed by the Official Maintainer for possible incorporation into the Software. This Section applies only where the official repository prominently displayed these contribution terms or a reference to this License at the time of submission. Earlier contributions are governed by Section 16.

10.2 By submitting a Contribution, the contributor represents and warrants that:

(a) the contributor has the right to submit the Contribution and grant the rights stated in this Section;
(b) the Contribution is not subject to restrictions of an employer, school, customer, partner, or other right holder whom the contributor is not authorized to represent;
(c) all applicable Third-Party licenses and copyright notices within the Contribution have been disclosed; and
(d) the contributor is not submitting Third-Party confidential information, personal information, trade secrets, or other restricted material without authority.

10.3 The contributor grants the Official Maintainer, the applicable Licensors, and their respective lawful successors a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free copyright license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, compile, merge, publicly display, communicate through information networks, Distribute, commercialize, sublicense, and release the Contribution under any license.

10.4 The contributor retains copyright in the Contribution but may not use that copyright to prevent reasonable exercise of the authorization in Section 10.3.

10.5 To the extent not prohibited by mandatory law, the contributor agrees that the persons authorized under Section 10.3 may make modifications, adaptations, translations, compilations, combinations, excerpts, formatting changes, and technical processing reasonably necessary to exercise that authorization. The contributor may not rely solely on rights of attribution, alteration, or integrity to unreasonably obstruct an authorized ordinary use that does not distort or mutilate the Contribution or damage the contributor's reputation. Any moral or personal copyright right that may not lawfully be waived, limited, or excluded in advance remains unaffected.

10.6 Unless mandatory law or a separate written agreement requires otherwise, the Official Maintainer may identify contributors through commit history, a contributor list, a NOTICE file, project documentation, or another reasonable method and does not guarantee that every interface, binary, release note, or promotional material will individually display every contributor's name.

10.7 Material expressly marked “Not a Contribution” or “非贡献” is not governed by this Section. The marking must be made before or at the time of submission and must reasonably identify the material as not intended for incorporation or use as a Contribution.

10.8 This Section grants a copyright license only and grants no patent license. A Contribution requiring a patent license requires separate Written Authorization.

11. No Relicensing or Additional Restrictions

11.1 The Software may not be relicensed. No person may represent that the Software as a whole, any part of a Modified Version derived from the Software, or any portion lacking separate authorization is governed by another license.

11.2 A downstream Recipient may not be required to accept terms conflicting with this License, and no contract, technical measure, paywall, access control, digital-rights-management system, or other method may restrict rights already obtained under this License.

11.3 A Recipient may choose a different license for independently created additions that are clearly separable from the Software, provided the boundary is clearly identified, the different license is not represented as covering the original Software, and the terms for the additions do not prevent compliance with this License.

11.4 The complete text of this License must remain intact. Except for an official new version issued by the Official Maintainer after obtaining all necessary rights, no person may modify this License text and continue to publish it under the name “KSword Community Source License.”

11.5 This Section does not prevent a Recipient from continuing to rely on an earlier license under Section 16 and does not interfere with the independent license applicable to Third-Party Materials.

12. Patents

12.1 Neither this License nor the Contribution grant in Section 10 grants any express, implied, or estoppel-based patent license.

12.2 Receipt of a copyright license for the Software, a Modified Version, or a Contribution does not imply permission to practice any patent claim.

12.3 This Section does not limit rights already available under applicable law and does not affect a valid patent authorization separately issued by a Licensor, patent holder, or Third-Party license.

13. Termination, Cure, and Reinstatement

13.1 The external Distribution and Online Service rights granted under Sections 2.1(c) and 2.1(d) are subject to a condition subsequent requiring continuing compliance with this License. Any violation automatically terminates the violator's rights to Distribute, publicly provide, mirror, host, or provide the functionality of the Software or a Modified Version to a Third Party.

13.2 The violator must immediately cease new Distribution and hosting and, within the violator's control, remove public downloads, mirrors, application-store listings, service entry points, and other channels that continue to provide the Software or a Modified Version to Third Parties.

13.3 The violator may retain and view a Source Code copy lawfully obtained before the violation. The right to view Source Code does not terminate because of the violation, but it does not include a right to copy, Distribute, publicly provide, or republish the Source Code to a Third Party.

13.4 Except for the external Distribution and service rights expressly terminated under Section 13.1, the violator's rights to internally access, run, study, and privately modify a lawfully obtained copy do not automatically terminate because of that violation. This subsection does not limit the Licensor's right to seek cessation of infringement, removal of obstruction, elimination of effects, damages, conduct preservation, evidence preservation, property preservation, or other remedies available under applicable law.

13.5 If the violator receives the first written notice of a violation from a Licensor or authorized Official Maintainer and fully cures every notified violation within thirty days after receipt, the rights terminated under Section 13.1 are automatically reinstated upon completion of the cure.

13.6 If the violator violates this License again after reinstatement, or fails to complete cure within the period specified in Section 13.5, the rights listed in Section 13.1 terminate permanently unless reinstated in writing by an authorized party.

13.7 Termination of one distributor's license does not affect a downstream Recipient who previously obtained the Software lawfully and continues to comply with this License.

13.8 Provisions concerning reservation of rights, Third-Party Materials, Contributions, patents, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, post-termination obligations, existing versions, governing law, and dispute resolution survive termination of the relevant rights.

13.9 Distribution, hosting, public provision, or external service conducted while rights are terminated is not authorized by this License. A later reinstatement does not retroactively authorize conduct occurring before reinstatement unless an authorized party separately confirms otherwise in writing.

14. Disclaimer of Warranty

14.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Software is provided “as is” and “as available.” The Licensor, Official Maintainer, and contributors provide no express, implied, statutory, or other warranty, including any warranty of title, non-infringement, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, security, continuous availability, freedom from error or malicious code, data integrity, or compatibility with other software or hardware.

14.2 The user assumes all risks arising from operation of the Software, particularly risks arising from loading drivers, executing kernel operations, changing system state, processing important data, changing security configurations, or using experimental functionality.

14.3 The Licensor, Official Maintainer, and contributors have no obligation to provide maintenance, technical support, security fixes, feature updates, compatibility updates, or continued publication of the Software.

15. Limitation of Liability

15.1 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, under contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, statutory duty, or any other legal theory, the Licensor, Official Maintainer, and contributors are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, loss or corruption of data, business interruption, device or system failure, privacy harm, cost of substitute goods or services, or any direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential damage, even if advised that such damage may occur.

15.2 Any warranty, commitment, support, indemnity, privacy statement, or other obligation independently offered by a distributor, modifier, Online Service operator, or service provider binds only the person making it and does not impose liability on the Licensor, Official Maintainer, or other contributors.

15.3 This License does not exclude or limit liability that may not lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for personal injury, liability for property loss caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence, and any other liability that cannot be disclaimed or limited under mandatory law of the People's Republic of China. Mandatory consumer-protection, product-liability, cybersecurity, data-protection, or other laws control to the extent they cannot be excluded.

15.4 If any disclaimer or limitation in Section 15.1 cannot fully apply because of mandatory law, it applies only to the maximum extent permitted, without affecting other enforceable provisions.

16. Existing Versions, Third-Party Contributions, and License Migration

16.1 This License applies only to specific files, components, and versions expressly released under it and does not retroactively change any copy previously released under GPL-3.0-only or another license.

16.2 Rights lawfully obtained under an earlier license remain governed by that earlier license. This License does not revoke, reduce, or alter an existing permission that has already been validly granted, and it does not prevent existing copies, branches, or forks from continuing to be used, modified, sold, hosted, or Distributed to the extent allowed by their original license.

16.3 No person's earlier contribution of code, documentation, resources, or other material may be unilaterally changed from its original license to this License without that copyright holder's valid consent. The Official Maintainer must obtain sufficient relicensing authority or remove, replace, or independently rewrite the affected material before releasing a new version containing that material under this License.

16.4 This License does not change the license of any Third-Party dependency, copied code, resource, or other material. If a Third-Party license requires the combined work to be governed by terms incompatible with this License, the combined work may not be Distributed under this License until the conflict is resolved.

16.5 A license migration must preserve verifiable records of right-holder consents, code-provenance audits, rewrites, Third-Party license inventories, the scope of the migration, and the migration commit or release version.

17. General Terms

17.1 Severability
If any provision is held invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, it shall be reduced only to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions remain effective.

17.2 No Waiver
Failure by the Licensor or Official Maintainer to enforce any provision or right immediately does not waive that provision or right. A waiver of one violation is not a waiver of a later violation.

17.3 Entire Agreement
This License constitutes the complete terms governing licensing of the Software. A Licensor may grant an exception through separate Written Authorization; except to the scope expressly stated in that authorization, this License continues to apply. Oral statements, unofficial explanations, the Quick Rights and Restrictions Index, a README, a community covenant, or community discussions do not modify this License.

17.4 No Agency
This License does not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, franchise, or fiduciary relationship among the Licensor, Official Maintainer, and a Recipient.

17.5 License Versions
A copy is governed only by the version of this License expressly identified when that copy is released. A later version does not automatically impose new obligations on, or change existing permission for, an earlier copy. A Recipient may not elect another version unless the relevant copy expressly permits that election.

17.6 Controlling Language
The Chinese-language version is the sole controlling version. The English version and any other translation are provided only for convenience. If a translation contains an inconsistency, omission, or ambiguity compared with the Chinese version, the Chinese version controls.

17.7 Governing Law
This License and any copyright-licensing relationship, contractual relationship, or other civil relationship arising from or relating to it are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. For purposes of this subsection, those laws exclude the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan, and exclude the conflict-of-laws rules of the People's Republic of China, except where another law or choice-of-law rule must apply mandatorily. For a foreign-related civil relationship, the validity and scope of the parties' choice of the laws of the People's Republic of China are determined under applicable laws of the People's Republic of China.

17.8 Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction
A dispute arising from or relating to this License should first be addressed through reasonable efforts to negotiate. If negotiation fails, either party may bring an action before a people's court of the People's Republic of China having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China and applicable judicial interpretations. A separate valid written jurisdiction agreement between the parties controls. This subsection does not restrict a party from applying for conduct preservation, evidence preservation, property preservation, or another interim remedy available by law.

17.9 Notices
A written notice to the Official Maintainer may be sent to the official contact email stated at the top of this License or validly updated under Section 0.2, or delivered through another verifiable official channel. Notices concerning termination, cure, reinstatement, or a license exception should be retained with evidence of content, time of sending, and delivery.

17.10 Headings, Numbering, and Summary
Section headings, numbering, and the Quick Rights and Restrictions Index exist only for reading and navigation. They do not affect interpretation and do not independently create any permission, prohibition, or other legal effect.
