Installation¶
Development checkout¶
With the 1.0.x ecosystem repositories side by side:
yarn setup
yarn bfc
yarn setup installs sibling pseudocode-i18n, pygments-lexer-pseudocode-i18n and pseudocode-i18n-languageserver checkouts when present, then installs this Thonny plugin editable.
Restart Thonny afterwards.
Published package¶
Once released on PyPI, the plugin can be installed from Thonny's Tools → Manage plug-ins by searching for:
thonny-pseudocode-i18n
Thonny's plugin convention requires third-party packages under the thonnycontrib namespace; this project exposes thonnycontrib.pseudocode_i18n.load_plugin().
One-package rendering setup¶
Installing thonny-pseudocode-i18n also installs the shared core, which provides Mermaid through mermaidx and Graphviz through PyGraphviz. No separate Node.js, mmdc, neato, dot, apt, pacman, or system Graphviz installation is required.
Developers may override the embedded renderers for debugging or integration work:
PSEUDOCODE_I18N_MERMAID_EXECUTABLE=/path/to/mmdc thonny
PSEUDOCODE_I18N_GRAPHVIZ_EXECUTABLE=/path/to/neato thonny
