3D Mouse Brain Visualization Tutorial

Step 1 – Loading Data:
📂 Click the Load Brain Data (CSV) input on the left sidebar to select your CSV file containing brain data. The file is parsed and visualized automatically.

Step 2 – Using the Collapsible Left Sidebar:
🗄️ All main controls—file input, region filtering, and intensity mapping—are organized in a stylish, collapsible left sidebar. Click the sidebar’s toggle button (with an arrow icon) to hide or reveal these elements, giving you an unobstructed 3D view.

Step 3 – Adjusting the View:
🔍 Use the view buttons (View X, Y, Z) and Zoom In/Out controls to position your camera. The Reset View button re-centers your scene.

Step 4 – Filtering Regions:
🎨 In the Region Filtering panel, each row displays a color box (click to change its color), a label showing the region acronym and full name, and a checkbox to toggle both visibility and fly–through selection.

Step 5 – Intensity Mapping:
⚙️ Adjust settings like Raw Min, Raw Max, and Gray Contrast to fine–tune how data intensity is visualized, especially when using Grayscale Mode.

Step 6 – Enhanced Camera Controls:
✈️ Experience advanced camera manipulation using intuitive controls:
• Yaw (Left/Right): Rotate the camera like an airplane banking left or right.
• Pitch (Up/Down): Tilt the camera as if the airplane is climbing or descending.
• Roll (Left/Right): Tilt the camera along its forward axis to change the horizon.
• Reset: Restore the camera to its default orientation.

Step 7 – Capturing Your Scene:
📸 Click the Download PNG button in the top right to capture the current rendered scene as a PNG file, which downloads automatically.

Step 8 – Keyframe Animation & Video Recording:
🎥 Capture keyframes by clicking Capture Keyframe and play a guided tour with Start Keyframe Animation. Record your session by clicking Start Recording followed by Stop Recording; a download link for the video will appear.

Step 9 – Fly–Through Mode & Manual Navigation:
✈️ Enjoy automated fly–through of selected regions, or switch to Manual Fly Mode to navigate using WASD (with Q/E for vertical movement). You can also use additional keyboard shortcuts (e.g., X, Y, Z, 1/2/3, etc.) for more control.
