# goldpan

Analysis of digitized pulses (waveforms) together with their scalar quantities: reading pulses and reduced
quantities side by side, and doing further analysis on them. It is meant to work with any data that has pulses and
scalar quantities together, not only one experiment, and to plug into other code that processes raw pulses.

**Status: placeholder.** This release (0.0.1) contains no code. It reserves the name while the library is developed
in the open in the `python/` folder of [NSDF-Data](https://github.com/villano-lab/NSDF-Data), where it is already
usable from a clone (`python -m pip install -e ./python`). Releases to PyPI will follow when it is ready.

*goldpan* is the analysis half of a planned pair: a separate data-reduction package, *goldsluice*, would turn raw pulses
into reduced quantities, and goldpan would analyse what it delivers.
