Synthetic auto example

This authored example contains no carrier rates, filing material, or customer data. It is teaching material and is not an insurance product.

Each vehicle has a base premium of 500 illustrative currency units. Annual mileage of at most 8,000 gives a factor of 0.8; otherwise the factor is 1. Collision adds 150 per vehicle. If any driver is younger than 25, multiply the household total by 1.25. Admit one to four drivers, ages 16 through 99, and one to four vehicles, with integer annual mileage from 0 through 30,000.

Round the final household annual premium to two decimal places, with ties rounded away from zero (half up).
