Regional freight volumes, Q2

Freight moved through the northern corridor rose by four percent against the prior quarter, while the coastal route was flat. Rail accounted for just over half of tonnage in both regions.

Container throughput at the two inland terminals diverged for the first time since the series began, with the eastern terminal absorbing most of the increase.
