Changes Made:

  • Added signal_channel_combobox and data_source_combobox attributes

  • Added _setup_data_selection_ui() method for creating standard UI elements

  • Added _populate_channel_and_source_comboboxes() method for data population

  • Added _plot_selected_data() centralized plotting method

  • Added _on_data_plotted() hook for subclass customization

  • Enhanced _on_analysis_item_selected() to call population automatically

Backward Compatibility: CONFIRMED - No existing tabs broken

Changes Made:

  1. Removed duplicate attribute declarations:

  • signal_channel_combobox - now inherited

  • data_source_combobox - now inherited

  • _current_plot_data - now inherited

  1. Simplified _setup_ui():

  • Replaced manual combobox creation with self._setup_data_selection_ui(data_selection_layout)

  • Reduced code by ~9 lines

  1. Simplified _connect_signals():

  • Removed signal connections for channel/data source (handled by base class)

  • Reduced code by ~5 lines

  1. Drastically simplified _update_ui_for_selected_item():

  • Removed all combobox population logic (~90 lines)

  • Removed plotting logic (now in base class)

  • Now only handles mode-specific UI updates (~15 lines)

  • Reduced from 103 lines to 23 lines

  1. Replaced _plot_selected_channel_trace() with _on_data_plotted():

  • Removed entire plotting method (~132 lines)

  • Added simple hook method (~42 lines)

  • Hook only adds RMP-specific items (region, baseline lines)
