Install it locally

Extract the ZIP, then open a terminal in the folder containing pyproject.toml. With uv:

uv sync --locked
uv run aac demo -o output/song.json
uv run aac render output/song.json -o output/song.wav --report output/report.json

Prefer pip? In the same source folder, install into your Python environment:

shell
python -m pip install -e .
aac instruments

Open output/song.wav to hear your first render. Then follow the quickstart to write your own score.
