Mission Transport Option¶
A Transport Option describes a communications path that can be assigned to a Mission Plan. Its role identifies its place in the PACE plan: Primary, Alternate, Contingency, or Emergency. Multiple paths can have the same role.
Choose a transport type¶
| Type | Required references |
|---|---|
| Circuit | An existing Nautobot circuit |
| SATCOM (FDMA) | A device and a Frequency Set |
| SATCOM (TDMA) | A device and a Satellite |
| Cellular, LOS, MANET, or PTT | A device |
| Other | No transport-specific reference is required |
Enter a name, choose the type and role, supply the required references, and save. Select a mission now or leave the option detached for later assignment. Names must be unique within an assigned mission; detached options can share names. A device or Frequency Set cannot be assigned to another Transport Option at the same time. Circuit-type options cannot share the same circuit.
For FDMA, the linked Frequency Set supplies satellite and polarization values. Provider information comes from the circuit or Frequency Set rather than being entered independently.
Integration identity¶
Integrations should retain the option's UUID. TRAX uses it for natural-key and composite-key lookups, so renaming an option or assigning it to a different mission does not change its lookup identity. A name or circuit alone cannot identify every option uniquely.
