# yt-tools-cli — name reservation

**This is a placeholder distribution, it contains no code.** It exists so the
distribution name `yt-tools-cli` belongs to the project while the real release is
prepared.

The package itself is **yt-tools**:

- Repository: https://github.com/kzntsv-dev/yt-tools
- Install (development tree, until the release lands):
  `pipx install git+https://github.com/kzntsv-dev/yt-tools`

Once the real release is published, `pip install yt-tools-cli` (or
`pipx install yt-tools-cli`) will install the toolkit and this `0.0.0` stub will
be superseded — `0.0.0` sorts below every real version.

## Why the name differs from the project

PyPI refuses a new project whose name is *too similar* to an existing one: it
compares a lossy folding of names (`. _ -` removed, `l|i`→`1`, `o`→`0`).
`yt-tools` folds to `ytt001s` — the same class as the existing `yttools` — so it
cannot be registered. The import name stays `yt_tools`, the commands stay `yt-*`,
and the repository and plugin stay `yt-tools`.
