# appearsin-cli

The `appearsin` command and the AppearsIn MCP server. This package does **not** import Django. It calls
`https://appearsin.com/api/v1` with a bearer token.

```
pipx install appearsin-cli        # or: pip install appearsin-cli, or run without installing: uvx --from appearsin-cli appearsin account
appearsin auth login          # browser sign-in (OAuth, PKCE)
appearsin account
appearsin threads --status ready
appearsin approve <id>
```

Token order: `--api-key`, then `APPEARSIN_API_KEY`, then `~/.appearsin/credentials.json`
(`APPEARSIN_CREDENTIALS` overrides the path; the file is mode 0600).
Set `APPEARSIN_URL` to point at another host (for example `http://localhost:8000`).

## MCP

* Local stdio: `appearsin-mcp` (stdout carries only JSON-RPC, logs go to stderr).
* Remote Streamable HTTP: `appearsin-mcp-http`, served at `https://mcp.appearsin.com/mcp`.
  An unauthenticated `POST /mcp` returns 401 with a `WWW-Authenticate` header that points at
  `/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource` (RFC 9728). Tokens are checked with `GET /api/v1/account`.

Tools: `get_account`, `list_projects`, `get_project`, `list_threads`, `get_thread`, `approve_thread`,
`unqueue_thread`, `skip_thread`, `copy_thread`, `list_questions`, `list_communities`, `get_score`.
