Curry library shipped with Sprite
=================================

Origin
------

The Curry sources in this directory, except Control/SetFunctions.curry and
Sprite/Stream.curry, are a copy of the library of PAKCS 3.4.1 (the lib
directory of the binary distribution, https://www.curry-lang.org/pakcs/).
That library is version 3.1.0 of the Curry package "base", as its VERSION file states. The
copyright holder is Michael Hanus, University of Kiel. The license is the
PAKCS license in the file LICENSE beside this notice.

Changes
-------

Prelude.curry carries a three-line prefix:

    {-# LANGUAGE CPP #-}
    #define __KICS2__ 1

The front end then compiles the KiCS2 branches of the conditional sections
of the Prelude. Sprite implements the primitives of those branches. The
rest of the file is unchanged.

The other sources are unchanged. The Prolog definitions of the externals
(*.pakcs, *.pakcs.pl), the library Makefile, and the generated umbrella
module AllLibraries.curry of the PAKCS distribution are not included.

Sprite's own modules
--------------------

Control/SetFunctions.curry is part of Sprite and is not covered by the
PAKCS license. It is covered by the BSD 3-Clause license in the LICENSE
file at the root of the repository.

Sprite/Stream.curry is also part of Sprite and uses that BSD 3-Clause
license.

Pinned build products
---------------------

The .icy and .json.z files beside some sources are build products of the
icurry tool, version 3.1.0, run with PAKCS 3.4.1 on these sources. See
../README.md.
