# recd-clock — Discrete Extramental Clock (RECD)

**Reloj Extramental Discreto** — Gate RECD (τ_s + Feigenbaum gate).

Python port of the Gate RECD core from the web instrument (`recd.ts`). Pure functions only. **T** is the accumulator for one **named system + pin**. Civil America/Puerto_Rico (AST) is sampling support only.

Do **not** invent theory here — maths match the TypeScript reference within **1e-8**.

> **Manuals** ship inside the package in **four languages**: Spanish (`es`), Portuguese (`pt`), English (`en`), and French (`fr`). See [Accessing manuals](#accessing-manuals).

---

## Install

```bash
pip install recd-clock
# or from a local checkout:
pip install -e ".[dev]"
```

**Requires:** Python ≥ 3.10. Zero runtime dependencies.

---

## Quick start

```python
from recd_clock import DEFAULT_PIN, dtk, gate, accumulate_hold, ast_local_to_utc_ms, REF
# STI W3 tick
dt = dtk(0.21, k=0, delta=REF.delta, dt0=1, n=13)
# Gate regime
print(gate(0.21))  # FRACTIONAL, g=0.21
# HOLD accumulation at demo freeze
now_ms = ast_local_to_utc_ms(REF.demoNow)
r = DEFAULT_PIN.accumulate_demo()
print(r.T_after)  # ≈ 1.61532853 RECD-days
```

### CLI

```bash
recd-clock              # T_after for live now (STI W3 pin)
recd-clock --demo       # T_after at demo freeze 2026-09-02 23:54 AST
recd-clock --pin        # print STI W3 pin
recd-clock --lang es    # print Spanish instrument manual
recd-clock --lang en    # English / pt / fr likewise
```

---

## Default pin — STI W3 (frozen)

| Field | Value |
|-------|--------|
| System | STI (4-domain global aggregate) |
| n | 13 |
| δ | 4.6692016091 |
| k | 0 |
| Δt₀ | 1 civil day / step |
| τ_s | 0.21 |
| Epoch | 2026-05-26T00:00:00 AST |
| HOLD cutoff | 2026-08-23T23:59:00 AST |
| HOLD window | 90 civil days |
| HOLD | enabled |

```
Δt(k) = δ^{−k} · |τ_s| · (Δt₀ / n)
T_before = holdWindowDays · Δt
T_after  = T_before + days_since_cutoff · Δt
```

---

## Accessing manuals

```python
from recd_clock.manuals import load
print(load("es"))  # Spanish
print(load("pt"))  # Portuguese
print(load("en"))  # English
print(load("fr"))  # French
```

Or: `recd-clock --lang en`.

---

## Package layout

```
src/recd_clock/
  core.py       # dtk, gate, HOLD accumulate, civil AST helpers
  pin.py        # Pin dataclass, STI W3 defaults
  orbital.py    # optional undetermined didactic proxy (clearly labeled)
  cli.py        # recd-clock console script
  manuals/      # es.md, pt.md, en.md, fr.md
  py.typed
```

Orbital helpers in `recd_clock.orbital` are **didactic only** — not a measurement, not determined orbital correspondence, and they do **not** replace T.

---

## Develop / test / build

```bash
cd /path/to/recd-py
python -m venv .venv && . .venv/bin/activate
pip install -U pip build twine pytest
pip install -e ".[dev]"
pytest -q
python -m build
```

Artifacts land in `dist/` (wheel + sdist). See `PUBLISH.md` for Twine upload steps (credentials required; this package does not upload itself).
