shadow_raycast — 3D render op

Data kinds: mesh × vectorimage2d

Call: import render_shadow; render_shadow.shadow_raycast(V, F, light, *, pose=None, intrinsics=None, width: 'int' = 256, height: 'int' = 256, angular_diameter_deg: 'float' = 0.0, samples: 'int' = 1, grid=None, bias=None) -> 'np.ndarray' (or ops3d.get("shadow_raycast"))

Usage

Cast rays directly at the mesh and return the sunlight visibility (H,W) ∈ [0,1] (no shadow map).

References (sample data, literature)

• Sample-data catalog (download URLs / licences) — 2-D uses skimage.data (BSD/public domain) plus synthetic images; 3-D lists download URLs for real data sources (Stanford, PDS, …).

• Operator provenance and references — the sources of the research/methods this op family came from.
