• Call: import gfx2d; gfx2d.srgb_to_linear(img) (or opsgfx2d.get("srgb_to_linear"))
sRGB-encoded values to linear light (IEC 61966-2-1).
An alpha channel, if present, is not transformed — coverage is already
linear. Accepts `(H, W), (H, W, 1|3|4)`.
Use this before anything that adds or scales light (:func:radial_light,
:func:light_mask, :func:normal_map_shade, :func:bloom) if the input
came out of an image file. Skipping it does not raise: it makes highlights
bloom too early and shadows too dark, by the amount quoted in the module
docstring.
